Our Flea Control Service
Not only do fleas annoy cats and dogs, but they also bite humans, causing skin irritation, allergies, and diseases like typhus and tularemia. So we recommend putting your pets on a flea and tick prevention, then calling the experts at Natural Resources Pest Control to treat your property. This combination will ensure your family and four-legged friends are protected from fleas, especially during the warmer months.
Our Unique Approach To Flea Control
The best time to begin a flea control program is in Spring before you get adult fleas. But if you’re struggling with a full-blown infestation, fleas must be controlled at every stage of their life cycle. Our technicians know how to safely kill adult fleas and prevent future generations from breeding, giving you the long-term protection you deserve.
1. FLEA INSPECTION
We’ll first determine the severity of the infestation by inspecting the entire property. Sometimes your flea issue could be caused by animals such as rats, possums, and racoons that have access to your lawn, attic or crawl space. If you’re dealing with a flea problem, we’ll move forward with our flea treatment. Our service requires a minimum of two services 10-14 days apart. Depending on the severity of the infestation, a third treatment may be required.
2. INTERIOR TREATMENT
We’ll carefully apply our nontoxic combination of natural essential oils and soap on all floor surfaces, paying attention to the areas your pets spend the most time. Not only does this approach kill fleas on contact, but it also interrupts the breeding cycle. Best of all, this method lasts for 4-6 months!
3. EXTERIOR TREATMENT
If fleas are in your home, chances are they’re also outside. Fleas love the shade and tend to hang out under thick shrubs, under decking, and under your home. We use the same combination of essential oils on the outside as we do on the inside, only this time we use a misting machine to cover your entire landscape. If fleas are found under your home, we’ll recommend our Boric Acid treatment which will kill the fleas and prevent them from entering your home from baseboards or other openings that could lead in to the structure.
Why Choose Natural Resources Pest Control
Frequently Asked Questions
Flea bites leave you with swollen, itchy marks. Hence the reason why your pets scratch so much after they’ve been bitten. And, in some cases, flea bites cause allergic reactions in humans. But the real problem is fleas carry insect-borne diseases just like mosquitoes and ticks. According to the CDC, the number of illnesses caused by flea bites tripled from 2004 to 2016. So if you’re dealing with a flea infestation, you need to act fast!
After we treat your yard for fleas, you may go outside but we just ask that you wait until the application has dried. Depending on a variety of factors, like outdoor temperatures and humidity, we recommend you wait at least an hour. After this time has elapsed, it is safe for you and your family to enjoy your deck, pool, and yard again!
★★★★★“Being that we are baby and furbaby friendly, we looked for a pest control company who was trusted and used great (organic) products. The ants are gone and my mom and dad are so thankful! Thank you Daniel, Chad, and Alyssa for outstanding customer service and for helping my parents out!”
★★★★★“I work on a yacht, which makes dealing with pests a bit more tricky. We have delicate surfaces that we deal with, a bacteria biome in our tanks, and of course, many people with chemical sensitivities. Chad came out and helped us not only treat our fruit fly infestation, but he gave us many tips to prevent other kind of pest outbreaks.”
★★★★★“I had an emergency situation with spiders in my car in the middle of the day. After playing phone tag, being put on hold, and turned down by a few major pest control companies that don’t service cars… Chad and his team happily came out and resolved the issue within an hour.”
